Walnut Events is the collaboration of Guy Wolley and Bill Hill

Apart from food, Bill Hill’s other abiding passions are French wine and vintage furniture. Having started his career in food and wine at Fortnum and Mason in Piccadilly, where he developed his skill in presentation and personal service, he then ran his own antique business for more than a decade. He then joined top flight London caterers Alison Price & Co as Senior Head of Operations and Wine Buyer, where for ten years he worked with some of London’s finest & most exclusive venues, managing teams delivering impeccable service to a dizzying array of clients from pop stars to Heads of State. Wishing to escape London he sat down with his friend of more than 25 years Guy and together they set up Walnut Events. He is also the co-owner of Hill & Co in Grayshott www.hillandcohome.co.uk  

Guy Wolley started his career in hotels, training in London at the Gravetye Manor, the Savoy, Claridges, the Connaught and the Berkeley before spending a few years in Paris where he developed a great love and knowledge of French cuisine. He returned to London to open his first restaurant, La Bouffe, on London’s Battersea Rise, which was a successful and popular destination for more than 16 years. He also started a number of delicatessens, Mise-en-place in South London, as well as further restaurants in Twickenham and Balham. He is an experienced presenter both on television (Great Food Live, Saturday Kitchen) and on live events such as BBC Good Food Show and the France Show.
